Al4 graded products

Aluminium

Aluminium is the most abundant metal in the Earth’s crust and one of the most recycled. It is light, corrosion-resistant and fully recyclable; recovering it saves up to 95% of the energy needed to produce it from bauxite.

What we buy

Sources and intake criteria.

We collect aluminium in every form: building extrusions, used beverage cans (UBC), alloy wheels and sumps from vehicles, machining swarf and turnings, post-consumer aluminium, industrial offcuts and any waste that contains aluminium.

Intake process
Weighbridge, inspection and primary sorting
Acceptance criteria
  • 01
    Radiation monitoring
Inbound and outbound, with sensors calibrated to local background radiation.
  • 02
    Trade-approved weighing
Certified weighbridge, with a gross/tare/net ticket for every transaction.
  • 03
    Visual inspection
The material is inspected before it is assigned to a lot and graded.
  • 04
    EWC code assignment
The right EWC code (European List of Waste) for the type and origin of the waste.

Clean aluminium from windows and doors

Aluminium extrusions

Extruded aluminium, clean and separated from other materials. It comes from windows, façades, architectural structures and metal joinery. Graded by alloy to recover maximum value.

Input

Windows and doors, façades, structures

Processed grade

Clean aluminium extrusions, sorted by grade

Industrial applications
  • Direct remelting by secondary aluminium producers
  • Re-extrusion into new sections
  • Lightweight structural components
Full specification

Used Beverage Cans
High-purity material with outstanding recyclability

UBC · Aluminium cans

UBC (used beverage cans) is high-value scrap in the aluminium recycling chain. Its purity and how easily it can be remelted make it one of the most sought-after fractions in the industry.

Input

Post-consumer drinks cans, production offcuts

Processed grade

Baled or shredded UBC to specification

Industrial applications
  • New can production (closed loop)
  • High-quality secondary remelting
  • Food and drink industry
Full specification

Cast aluminium from vehicles

Wheels and sumps

Aluminium alloy wheels, sumps and die-castings, mostly from vehicles. They are graded separately from extrusions because they are a different alloy and go to different foundries.

Input

Wheels, sumps, die-castings

Processed grade

Cast aluminium graded by alloy

Industrial applications
  • Secondary remelting of casting alloys
  • Automotive and components industry
  • Remelting of die-casting alloys

FXR2
Our own product, prepared for remelting

Secondary aluminium

Aluminium processed specifically for secondary remelting, to a consistent specification. It comes from our post-shredder separation line and from our aluminium and radiator line: it is the next step after Zorba, once the aluminium has been separated from the other metals.

Input

Zorba and aluminium recovered from post-shredder separation

Processed grade

Secondary aluminium to a consistent specification

Industrial applications
  • Secondary aluminium refiners and remelters
  • Secondary alloy production
  • Casting and extrusion industry
FAQs

What people ask us.

What is recyclable aluminium?

Recyclable aluminium is aluminium that can be recovered, processed and reused to make new products instead of being thrown away. Recycling it is highly efficient and brings several environmental and economic benefits.

Why does recycling aluminium matter?

Recycling aluminium saves resources and energy, as it takes only 5% of the energy needed to produce primary aluminium. It also reduces bauxite mining and the environmental footprint of mining and manufacturing.

How is aluminium recycled?

Aluminium recycling involves collection, removal of impurities and melting. The aluminium scrap is first collected, then cleaned and melted into ingots. The recycled ingots are used to make new aluminium products.

What products can be made from recycled aluminium?

Recycled aluminium goes into many products, including new drinks cans, vehicle components, bicycles, electronic parts, kitchenware and building components.
