ELV: Recycling for End-of-Life Vehicles
The recycling process for ELVs (End-of-Life Vehicles) is divided into various stages designed to dismantle, recover and recycle the components and materials of vehicles that have reached the end of their useful life. ELV recycling is essential to reduce the environmental impact of these vehicles and maximize the recovery of materials.

-
Document administration/Vehicle de-registration
We handle the document administration and vehicle de-registration, key aspects of
the ELV (End-of-Life Vehicles) recycling process. These steps involve dealing with
the necessary documentation to legally deregister the vehicle and guarantee its
proper environmental management.
-
Inspection and decontamination
When a vehicle arrives at our recycling facilities, an initial inspection is carried out
where hazardous waste and contaminants from the vehicle, such as oils, coolant
liquids, fuel and other fluids, are recorded and removed. This waste is managed
and treated safely and in accordance with environmental regulations.
-
Dismantling and reuse
The vehicle is stripped down to separate reusable and recyclable components and
materials. Parts in good condition that can be reused, such as engines, transmissions, radiators, exhaust systems, windows and electronic components, are removed. These items are tested and stored for later resale or reuse.
-
Crushing and separation
After dismantling, the body and the remaining components undergo a mechanical
crushing (shredding) process. The different materials are then sorted, such as
ferrous metal (iron) and non-ferrous metals (aluminum, copper), plastics, glass and
textiles. These materials are stored separately for recycling later.
-
Recycling
The materials we recycle with our state-of-the-art facilities are used as secondary
raw materials for the manufacture of new products.
